Bioster, a.s.
The company Bioster, a.s is a traditional Czech producer of a wide range of medical devices – from devices for surgery or stomatology and products for chronic wounds treatment, first aid programme, to special field dressing material.
Our company also provides the unique service of radiation sterilization.
For many years we have been cooperating with academic departments and focusing on our own scientific research, development and innovation. We are certified by European standards and all products have the CE mark.
We were the first company to introduce a bioactive dressing on the basis of oxidized cellulose „Traumastem Biodress“ for chronic wound treatment to the world market.
The company Bioster was founded in 1993 as a private company; however its history goes back to 1972.
History
- 1973 – the development of haemostat Traumacel in powder form was launched
- 1998 – certification of the company in accordance with EU legislations
- 1999 – production of flat form of haemostat Traumacel was launched
- 2001 – a new spray formulation of the haemostat Traumastem S wet was launched
- 2004 – innovative flat and spray forms of the haemostat Traumastem was launched
- 2005 – 2007 – development of our own technology and production process of oxidized cellulose made of cotton
- 2008 – the distribution of the 2nd innovation sterile resorbable haemostat reticulum Traumastem TAF Light was launched
- 2009 – the new products Traumastem Stapler Seam Protection and Traumastem TAF Impla were launched
- 2010 – the distribution of new products Traumastem Biodress Comfort and Traumastem Biodress Disinfect was launched
