Bioster, a.s is Czech producer of medical preparations – from devices for surgery or stomatology and products for chronic and acute wounds treatment, first aid programme or car first aid kits, to special field dressing material.
Our company also provides a unique service of radiation sterilization.
For many years we have been cooperating with academic departments and focusing on our own scientific research, development and innovation. We are certified by European standards and all products have CE mark.
We were the first company to introduce a bioactive dressing on basis of oxidized cellulose Traumastem Biodress for acute and chronic wounds treatment to the world market.
Company Bioster was founded in 1993 as a private company; however its history goes back to 1972.
History
- 1973 – the development of haemostats Traumacel in powder form was launched
- 1998 – certification of the company in accordance with EU legislatives
- 1999 – production of flat form of haemostat Traumacel was launched
- 2001 – a new spray formulation of the haemostat Traumastem S wet was launched
- 2004 – an innovated flat and spray forms of the haemostat Traumastem was introduced
- 2005 – 2007 – development of own technology and production process of oxidized cellulose from cotton
- 2008 – the distribution of the 2nd innovated sterile resorbable haemostat reticulum Traumastem TAF Light was launched
- 2009 – the new products Traumastem Stapler Seam Protection and Traumastem TAF Impla were launched
- 2010 – the distribution of new products Traumastem Biodress Comfort and Traumastem Biodress Disinfect was introduced
