Traumastem FAM Strata

Traumastem FAM Strata is sterile, fibrous, resorbable haemostatic medical device. As the structure of Strata is sufficiently strong, it can be sutured or cut when applied. The nonwoven form of the product allows its dividing into quantities needed for the application. Traumastem FAM Strata provides a fast and effective local haemostasis, usually within 2 minutes; however, the time needed to achieve haemostasis depends on the type of operation and the intensity of bleeding.The product minimizes perioperative and early postoperative blood losses and complications, has significant antimicrobial effects, helps accelerate biochemical processes, and supports the healing process. It is atraumatic and 100% resorbable in the body within 6-8 days from application without any side effects. Although the textile is fully resorbable, it is always the physician’s responsibility to decide whether or not to leave the textile at the site of application. Indication:	Traumastem FAM Strata is used as an adjunct to stop capillary, venous, small arterial bleeding, and also to prevent early postoperative bleeding. It can be used in all areas of stopping diffuse haemorrhage from resection surfaces such as parenchymatous organs, muscles or defined body cavities, on uneven or poorly accessible surface of the wound. It can be used for a wide variety of actions – wrapping, layering, covering or filling cavities. The wide scope of application allows the use for classical, laparoscopic, robotic surgery and endoscopic treatments. Traumastem FAM Strata is made from single-layer nonwoven fabric, is compact, and can be used especially for endoscopic operations. Parts can be divided by tearing off or cutting, and simply adjusted to the most appropriate application size and thickness. Traumastem FAM Strata is thoroughly adaptable, and therefore excellent for conservative and mini-invasive treatments, mainly in urology, gynaecology, cardiovascular surgery, and general and peripheral vascular surgery.
Contraindication	Heavy venous or arterial bleeding, despite its demonstrable antibacterial effect, Traumastem FAM Strata is not intended as a replacement for systematically applied therapeutic or prophylactic antimicrobial agents.
