INNOVATIVE USES OF GAMMA RADIATION

Damage to conventional chips occurs at very low doses of gamma radiation.
We offer our customers special chips that have been tested to withstand doses of hundreds of kGy (for normal sterilization a dose of 25 kGy is used).
This enables, for example, automated tracking of material that is repeatedly sterilised.

Cannabis is also increasingly used in conventional medicine. The application of gamma radiation significantly increases the microbiological purity of cannabis, which then meets even the most demanding requirements.

We treat medical cannabis, for example, for the St. Anne’s University Hospital in Brno and for many other entities that produce medical cannabis for local and foreign markets.

The Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) is an ecological method of pest control that uses gamma radiation to sterilize male insects. Sterile males mate with wild females after release, resulting in the females not producing offspring and pest populations declining.

SIT is a highly targeted and species-specific method that causes no harm to beneficial insects or the environment. Unlike pesticides, it leaves no harmful residues, making it a sustainable and safe choice for pest control.
SIT has been successfully used worldwide against major pests such as fruit flies, tsetse flies and mosquitoes, significantly reducing crop losses and improving human health.
