Dr. Carlos Mata Quintero - Traumastem FAM Trium
I have used Traumastem FAM Trium in various procedures, including laparoscopic and open cholecystectomies, fundoplications, splenectomies, open and laparoscopic colon surgeries, bariatric procedures (sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass), as well as multiple minimally invasive interventions. I primarily use it to control bleeding on surgical bed surfaces, including irregular or hard-to-reach areas, and as a preventive measure in patients at high risk of bleeding.
My experience with Traumastem FAM Trium has been consistently positive: bleeding control is effective, and I have not observed complications such as infection, foreign-body reactions, or patient intolerance. There have been no allergic reactions, and the product offers excellent cost-effectiveness.
Compared to other haemostatic agents, Traumastem stands out for its ease of application, user-friendly handling, even in laparoscopic procedures, and its high effectiveness. The haemostat Traumastem FAM Trium is a highly reliable product, and in my practice, I recommend it 100%.

Dr. Jorge Alberto Sánchez Rodríguez - Traumastem POWDER
I have used Traumastem POWDER in extensive tumor resection surgeries and in trauma surgeries requiring wide surgical approaches, where there is a high risk of bleeding.
In procedures such as tumor resections or open reduction and internal fixation of fractures, which require wide surgical exposure, effective hemorrhage control is essential. In this context, the topical application of haemostatic powder Traumastem POWDER has helped me control non-massive bleeding, mainly oozing or moderate bleeding, in an effective manner.
During application, the overall experience has been satisfactory. The product is very easy to apply, with adequate intraoperative handling and good tissue adaptation. The hemostatic effectiveness is good, and a relevant advantage over other hemostatic agents is the ability to apply it in bleeding areas that are difficult to access.
As a result, control of oozing or moderate bleeding is almost immediate, with no observed side effects.

Teresa Del Niño Jesús Calvillo Vázquez - Traumastem FAM Trium + Traumastem POWDER
During an exploratory laparotomy for penetrating trauma secondary to a gunshot wound, in a patient with multiple injuries including Grade IV hepatic trauma, Grade III splenic injury, and hemoperitoneum, Traumastem in powder and fibrillar presentations was used as part of the surgical management.
The indication for use was bleeding control associated with Grade IV liver trauma and Grade III splenic injuryresulting from penetrating trauma due to a gunshot wound.
The experience during application was highly satisfactory. Traumastem is easy to use and allows for simple intraoperative handling. In lesions with extensive cavitation, Traumastem powder was applied, while in stellate lacerations involving one or more hepatic segments, the fibrillar form was used, in addition to hepatic suturing, to achieve better sealing. In the case of the spleen, Traumastem fibrillar was applied along with an omental patch secured with sutures, which made it possible to avoid resection or splenectomy.
A significant reduction in bleeding was observed, in addition to mandatory packing. During depacking, adequate hemostasis was identified, with no recurrence of bleeding.
As an additional comment, I would highlight that it is easier to apply, requires no mixing or delays during the procedure, and is highly effective as a hemostatic agent.
Wonderful!!

prof. Rumen Benchev MD, MSc, - Traumastem FAM Trium + Traumastem POWDER
Traumastem FAM Trium and Traumastem POWDER were introduced in our clinic 2 years ago. Since then we use these products regularly for the following cases.
- Traumastem FAM Trium is used in every nasal surgery instead the more traumatic for the patient nasal tamponade. Traumastem FAM Trium stops the bleeding and has the advantages to be resorbable and gradually disappears from the nose with the regular postoperative rinsing of the nose. It is well tolerated by the patients and is not so invasive as the routine nasal tamponade, which is kept in the nose for at least 3 days.
- Now we use routinely Traumastem POWDER in tonsillar surgery. After completing the surgery and after final surgical hemostasis, Traumastem POWDER is applied to the surface of the surgical wound. It stops minor bleeding and prevents bleeding in the early postoperative period. Traumasteam POWDER is well tolerated and we haven’t observed any adverse events after its usage.

MUDr. Libor Němec - Traumastem FAM Trium
I have been using oxidized cellulose haemostatics produced by various manufacturers since the beginning of my more than thirty-year surgical practice. At the Masaryk Institute of Oncology in Brno, where I worked in the years 2006-2024, we routinely used oxidized cellulose during demanding oncosurgical procedures in the abdominal cavity, thoracic cavity and retroperitoneum. We welcomed the launch of Traumastem FAM Trium on the market with gratitude – this form is easier to apply to bleeding tissue than traditional oxidized cellulose preparations, it has excellent flexibility and adhesion, and its ability to adapt to a specific organ structure, including problematic locations, is excellent (it is able to copy and fill a wide variety of tissue folds, folds, depressions and recesses). This hemostatic agent can be easily used not only in open surgeries, but also in laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.
Intraoperative manipulation with the preparation Traumastem FAM Trium (of course, wearing surgical gloves) is easy and comfortable. The individual layers of the preparation can be separated without difficulty or, conversely, multiplied so that the resulting mass of the applied hemostatic meets the requirements of the surgeon, the nature of the bleeding and the conditions in the surgical field. Of course, a certain (at least basic) level of skill and experience of the surgeon and the perioperative nurse – instrument operator is a prerequisite.
The application of the hemostatic Traumastem FAM Trium is very well tolerated by the operated patients. Its biodegradation is excellent, we have never recorded prolonged bioresorption associated with abscess formation or other infectious complications in the postoperative period.
